1. Educational purpose
The site provides educational references for selected Lewis structures, molecular properties and chemistry concepts. It is not a universal chemistry solver and does not replace textbooks, instructors, qualified professionals or laboratory procedures.
2. No guarantee of accuracy or completeness
Reasonable efforts may be made to review content, but structures and properties can be incomplete, simplified, model-dependent or incorrect. Resonance, radicals, isomers, charge states, protonation, expanded-valence descriptions and unusual bonding can require additional interpretation.
You are responsible for verifying results before using them in graded work, laboratory activity, research, clinical, engineering, industrial or safety-related decisions.
3. Current service features
- No user account is required.
- No payment or subscription is currently processed by the site.
- Supported results are generated in the browser from local data.
- Unsupported inputs may be sent to PubChem for a conventional 2D reference.
- Displayed diagrams may be downloaded as PNG or SVG.
- The site does not currently provide an interactive 3D molecular viewer or uploaded-image conversion.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, educational and other lawful purposes. You may not:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or bypass site security.
- Use automated requests in a way that materially degrades service for others.
- Introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access.
- Misrepresent the site's output as professionally verified or guaranteed.
- Use the site to violate academic rules, intellectual-property rights or applicable law.
- Remove source attribution from third-party content where attribution is required.
5. Downloads and reuse
The download buttons create files from the diagram displayed in your browser. You are responsible for reviewing the result and ensuring that your use complies with applicable course rules, copyright, attribution and other obligations. Third-party PubChem references remain subject to the terms of their source.
6. Third-party services and links
The site may use or link to services such as PubChem, Google Analytics, Vercel, Google Fonts and content-delivery networks. Those services are operated independently and have their own terms, privacy policies and availability. A link or integration does not guarantee or endorse third-party content.
7. Intellectual property
The site's original code, layout, text and branding are protected to the extent allowed by applicable law. Chemical formulas and scientific facts are not claimed as proprietary merely because they appear on the site. Third-party names, data, libraries and content remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Feedback and correction reports
If you send feedback or a correction, you allow the site owner to review, reproduce and use the submitted explanation as reasonably necessary to investigate and improve the site. Do not submit confidential information or material you do not have permission to share.
9. Availability and changes
The site, database, guides and third-party integrations may be changed, suspended or discontinued without guarantee of continued availability. URLs, supported formulas and displayed properties can change as the project is updated.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no express or implied warranty is made that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, complete, fit for a particular purpose or suitable for professional reliance.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site owner and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of, inability to use or reliance on the site, including errors in educational content or third-party references.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Privacy
Use of the site is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains formula lookup, analytics, contact messages and third-party services.
13. Updates and contact
These terms may be updated when the site changes. The date at the top identifies the current posted version. Questions can be sent to support@lewisstructuregenerator.org.
Legal review: These terms describe the site's current operation and should be reviewed by qualified counsel for any jurisdiction-specific requirements that apply to the site owner.
